We are querying the Whois service of IANA every month to check if "root" whois-URLs have changed. With "root-whois-servers" we refer to the whois-server-URLs which are maintained in the IANA record of a TLD (e.g. "whois.verisign-grs.com" is the root-whois-server of the "com" TLD). This is very important to keep the VGWhoIs pattern list up to date.
